What is Sociology and Anthropology? Sociology is the study of human society; its origins, development, organizations, and institutions. Anthropology, on the other hand, is the study of humans; the past and the present. It focuses on human behavior and culture. Altogether, Sociology and Anthropology focuses on studying the social patterns and practices across cultures that developed as years go by and how people organize, govern, and create their civilization.

It covers arioso topics such as health, work, ecology, education, social stratification, religion, gender and sexuality, ethnicity, and social change. Compare and contrast Sociology and anthropology. Both are fields of Social Science that study the behavior of humans within their society Relate/connect Sociology and Anthropology to the Physical Therapy profession. I believe that to be an effective Physical Therapist, one must know how to communicate with the patient.

Learning the history and background of how humans behave will make talking to patients easier. And also, the medical history and therapeutic records from previous cases around the world will really be of help in curing the sick. Do you think that Sociology and Anthropology is relevant to you personally and in your chosen profession? I think that Sociology and Anthropology is important to me and to my chosen profession for it will keep me informed on the happenings in society; the past and present, and infer the future.
